There is a mountain resort here in our very town ideals for team building, wedding receptions or just to unwind from busy life in the metro. Yes, Genesis Valley is found in Consolacion, Cebu.
Location:
Barangay Cabangahan of Consolacion. Around 15 minutes from the town proper, you can find Genesis Valley Mountain Resort.
How To Get There:
From Cebu City, there are two ways to get to Genesis Valley.
A. Assuming you had your start at Ayala Center Cebu, take jeepneys with route 16B or 16C going to barangay Pit-os. I advice not to take Talamban route or 13C as they usually had their last stop in Talamban gym, which is way far from your destination.Once you right the Pit-os proper, asked the driver to stop you to the nearest habal-habal parking for Genesis Valley. From there, you can easily hire any habal-habal driver to take you to Genesis Valley.

B. Assuming your starting point is SM City Cebu, take a jeepneys with route 24A, 24B (both Consolacion-Cebu route) or 25A (Liloan - Cebu route). Tell your driver to stop you at Fooda Saversmart Consolacion. Across the street, you find Tinong's Bakery, there lines a queue of habal-habal drivers. For 20 pesos, you can tell them to drive you Genesis Valley.
What To Expect:
What will greet you upon entry is their tent place and their club house. They had enough guest room to accommodate large crowd. They also had a big lawn good for team building activities. And a tent area where campers usually stay and have their overnight.

Distance ahead, they had a pool that divided into two, one for kids and one for adults. Deepest part is five feet. They also had two Jacuzzi to choose from.

Ahead the mountain, line up cages of birds and animals. They had lots of exotic animals to delight you. When you reach to the top, you see nice design about the God's creation, too.

Pros:
The place is a nice place to get out from a busy place. Nice place for short relax.
Relaxing view and green all over.
Large lawn for team building.
Wonderful animals can be seen.
Pool is good for small children.
No corkage fee.
24-Hours security.
Cons:
At high noon, there's not much wind breeze, and felt humid because the area is surrounded by mountains.
There are piggery at the back, noise of the pigs can be heard plus the smell of it manure once the wind blows toward the resort especially during sunset.
Pool way to shallow and small for adults. Low cellphone signals at the pool area.
Foods available per order or no food at all. Best to bring on food as they have no corkage.
